Here in the UK, we are blessed with so many beautiful and captivating places to holiday, made even better in a motorhome as you always have your accommodation with you.
But where to go?
There are so many places it is impossible to highlight them all in one blog but here is just a snapshot of where to go on your next UK motorhome holiday with some advice along the way.
Let’s start at the top, Scotland, always an unforgettable trip! Literally mile upon mile of beautiful scenery with hundreds of official campsites and designated overnight parking areas. Now moving down the country, have you experienced Northumberland and the surrounding coastline? Did you know there are more castles in this area than any other county including the stunning Bamburgh Castle and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
Looking to the northwest there is of course the beautiful Lake District providing amazing walking routes and boating trips or just simply relaxing taking in the views. If you can avoid the busy weekends your motorhome drive will be more enjoyable and if you can book your overnight stay in advance, it is always recommended.
Wales has become one of the best campervan destinations in the world, highlighted by Visit Wales as you can enjoy a short break or a longer tour depending on your schedule.
The Pembrokeshire Coat National Park is an ideal starting point with stunning coastline and surf beaches. Of course, as you drive north you can explore Anglesey, the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and the Brecon Beacons.

The UK has endless opportunities for fantastic motorhome short breaks and holidays, just too many to mention on this occasion let’s end this blog with one of most iconic places to visit, Cornwall.
Everyone who visits Cornwall always returns thanks to its stunning coastlines, historic places of interest, picturesque old fishing villages and ports, surfing hotspots, the Eden Project, the Minack Theatre, the list goes on.
Not visited before. We recommend the official Tourist website Visit Cornwall which provides a list of places to visit as a great starting point. If you have been before it would be beneficial to also take a look at the website as there may be places you have missed or not aware of too!
We have barely touched the surface as where you can enjoy your motorhome holiday in the UK. There is of course Devon and Dorset, a very popular holiday destination for motorhome owners but have you also considered the Garden of England that is Kent; the east coast with Norfolk and Suffolk plus Hampshire and the New Forest and Wiltshire with the Cotswolds and beyond.
Finally….
If you can avoid the super busy summer season then of course this will mean the roads will be quieter and the campsites easier to book but if the summer holidays are your time to travel then we simply advise to plan your route, book your overnight stays in plenty of time, be mindful that the roads will be busier but with advanced planning your trip will run much smoother despite it being busy. Plus, course during the summer months there are longer daylight hours to enjoy the views longer.
