What, Why & How
- What are your key requirements when travelling?
- How will you be using your motorhome?
- Where will you be travelling to?
- What type of terrain will you be driving on?
- Would you prefer a compact motorhome for manoeuvrability or one for more space?
- How many of you will be using the motorhome? Are you a family, a couple or going solo?
- What sleeping arrangements are needed?
- What type of kitchen amenities, bathroom facilities and storage space do you require?
- Do you have a preference in manufacturer? Most of our motorhomes are Dethleffs and Sunlight but we also stock other popular brands too such as Volkswagen Campervans.
- Are there any specific additional features you want on your motorhome? All our vehicles come with a bike rack, but some may want a tow bar or additional interior features such as a combi heating boiler.
- Are you looking for peace of mind when it comes to maintenance and spare parts? All our vehicles come with at least one year warranty and we can help with repairs and carry a large stock of spare parts too.
- Finally and perhaps the most important, what is your budget? Setting budget is also about taking into account not just the purchase price but additional expenses such as insurance, maintenance and fuel.
Motorhome Types & Styles
If you are a first-time buyer it may feel quite confusing with the different categories of motorhomes available too, so here is an overview to help.
Class A:
This is the top of the range in motorhome family thanks to its wide variety of layouts and in some cases offers more advantages than other motorhome classes. They are referred to as the luxury class motorhomes which offer lots of interior space making them ideal for families.
Class B:
The Class B vehicles are the campervans which include both purpose built and van conversions. These are the smallest of the motorhome family providing a compact vehicle with easy in manoeuvrability. The Class B Campervans are popular for those seeking the “van life”. See our previous article about why campervans are so popular.
Class C:
This range of motorhomes are probably the ones you see the most on the British roads, with their distinctive over-cab section. They are often referred to as coach-built motorhomes. These vehicles provide generous sleeping space despite their compact dimension and can comfortably sleep 4-6 people making them ideal for families or couples wanting more space than a Class B campervan will provide.
